In 1996 a small band of local trials enthusiasts put their heads together and organised the first Manx Classic Weekend Trial for 53 local Twinshock/Pre 65 machines. Little did they know what a successful and long running event this would become.
The Manx International Classic Trial has developed into a major international event and is established as a key
element of the Isle of Man Festival of Motorcycling. The Trial is held every year as the finale to the Festival in late August/early September and the 230 rider entry list is always over
subscribed. This years event will run over the weekend of 5th & 6th September 2020 CANCELLED. The event regularly attracts competitors from all over the world who
relish the opportunity to ride proper classic trials sections amongst the spectacular scenery of our island. For many of our visiting riders it has become their number one 'must ride' event
of the year, a fact our Club is very proud of and strives to maintain.
There are classes for Pre 65 and the slightly more modern Twinshock machinery with an option of riding the Premier or Clubman routes through the sections, but the main object is for everyone to enjoy a sociable, but non the less competitive, sporting weekend in our scenic countryside.
Now you have entered for next year click on the YouTube link below to see the official Video of last years event. This was our first venture into filming the event & we hope to continue and improve it next year (apologies in advance for the lack of Pre 65 footage on the Sunday - technical issues)
Many thanks to Dario Leonetti for his assistance with the video.
The Manx Grand Prix road races take place over the world famous TT Mountain Course in the week leading up to the Manx International Classic Trial culminating in the Senior Race on Friday 4th September. This provides the opportunity for a unique motorcycling holiday taking in Real Road Racing and Classic Trials - for more information visit
