ROUND 4 - Eairy Beg

The final Manx Trials Club round was held at Eairy Beg on Sunday with a great entry of twenty-eight riders. The eight sections proved to be a lot trickier than the organisers anticipated with high scores being recorded. A massive well done to all the youth riders for battling on and not giving up!

Nigel Sharp had a brilliant ride dropping just eighteen marks on the very tough expert route finishing twenty-nine marks clear of second placed Robin Arnold. Nick Ward just snatched the clubman win from Matty Lund on a count of most cleans while Nigel Woods was the clear winner in the sportsman class. Stephen Lace took the honours from Jim Davidson in the Pre 65 class with Paul Smith nine marks ahead of Ian Lees in the twinshock class. The youth intermediates enjoyed a good battle with just three marks splitting first placed Bobby Moyer, second Owen Chestnut with Toby Lace rounding off the top three.

Many thanks to the land owners and observers.

Round 1 - Sunday 13th March 2016 - Knock Froy:

The opening round of the Manx Trials Club 2016 Championship at Knock Froy on Sunday proved to be a very challenging start for the adult expert riders. Eight very slippery and muddy sections tested Wayne Wardell who managed to hold off Robin Arnold to take the expert win, while Neil Christian was the clear winner in the clubman class from Dan Smith. The sportsman class had a slightly easier day with Mike Stevens taking the honours just five marks clear of second placed Nigel Woods.

The Pre 65 class saw Triumph mounted, Stephen Lace, drop just ten marks with similarly mounted Dave Harding another ten adrift taking first and second places, Paul Smith had a convincing win in the Twinshock class, the only rider to stay in single figures, Ian Lees taking second spot. Toby Lace was the lone schoolboy intermediate, Bobby Moyer enjoyed a great ride to finish ten marks clear of Oscar Lace in the novice class.

The sidecars shared the venue where Nigel Crellin/Chris Molyneux continued their winning streak taking the win from James Caine/Beth Thomas in the expert class, Jack Corlett/Ben Crookall took the honours in the clubman class while John/Lisa Corlett were top in the sportsman class.
